[정치]Democratic Party launches legislation of’loss compensation law’…opposition party joins one after another

In addition, the Democratic Party has pushed forward a special legislation to compensate for the loss of self-employed and small business owners caused by measures to strengthen quarantine.

The opposition party also agrees with this and has initiated several bills, and discussions are expected in earnest at the extraordinary National Assembly next month.

Prime Minister Jeong Sye-gyun strongly instructed government departments to’systematize self-employed business loss compensation’.

In line with this, the Democratic Party decided to promote the legislation of the’Loss Compensation Act’.

In particular, the Democratic Party established a’Loss Compensation Committee’ to deal with compensation issues based on the proposal of Rep. Min Byeong-deok, which compensated for 70% of lost sales for businesses prohibited from collective, and 5-60% for other businesses. The plan is to complete the bill by combining other initiatives that provided wage and rent support.

The opposition party also agrees with the need for compensation and is making legislative moves.

We have already proposed an amendment to the Basic Law for Small Businesses, which obliges the state and local governments to compensate for losses, and an amendment to the Infectious Disease Prevention Act, which adds business owners and workers who have suffered damage to limited compensation to medical institutions.

The Justice Party also expressed its intention to join the legislation, saying that it is a deserved measure set by the Constitution.

The suffering of self-employed and small business owners has already reached its limit.

Accordingly, the ruling and opposition parties are expected to begin processing the bill in earnest at the extraordinary National Assembly that begins next month.

With the prediction that as many as 100 trillion won is needed, attention is paid to whether the National Assembly will find a solution and come up with an effective bill.
