At the State Council meeting, the government voted for an additional budget containing a customized 4th disaster support fund worth KRW 1.95 trillion.

President Moon Jae-in said that this is the largest of the four corona disaster subsidies and asked the National Assembly to expedite it, and the opposition parties are already fighting a fierce nerve war.

At a state council meeting, the government voted for an additional budget containing KRW 19.5 trillion in customized disaster assistance.

This is the largest of the four corona disaster subsidies, which is an additional 15 trillion won plus the previously secured budget of 4.5 trillion won.

President Moon Jae-in said that it contained the government’s willingness to overcome a more serious public welfare and employment crisis than ever before, and called on the National Assembly to promptly deal with it.

However, a fierce nervous war between the opposition parties is expected over the previous super supplementary bill screening.

In addition, the Democratic Party set a goal to process the supplementary bill at the plenary session on the 18th as early as the 18th after a two-week preliminary review.

The plan is to complete the screening as quickly as possible and pay the support fund from the end of this month.
