[정치]36.7% of the president’s positive evaluation…the power of the people 33.8 vs. democracy 29.3

President Moon Jae-in’s positive evaluation of the performance of the state fell to 36.7%, a record low, while the Democratic Party’s approval rating also fell below a record low.

In the public opinion poll conducted by YTN in the fourth week of December, commissioned by Real Meter, the positive evaluation of the performance of President Moon’s state affairs was 36.7%, down 2.8%p from the previous week.

This is the same number as the result of the second week of December survey, the lowest level since the inauguration of the current government.

On the other hand, negative evaluation rose 2%p to 59.7%, a record high.

The gap in positive and negative evaluations also widened, recording 23%p, which is outside the margin of error.

As for the approval rating of each party, the power of the people rose 2.2%p to 33.8%, while the Democratic Party fell 1.3%p to 29.3%, a record low.

Accordingly, the gap in approval ratings between the two parties also exceeded the margin of error, showing a difference of 4.5%p, the highest level since the launch of the People’s Power.

The Open Democratic Party fell 0.7%p and the Nationalist Party fell 0.8%p to 6.5% and 6.4%, respectively, while the Justice Party rose 1%p to 4.4%.

In Seoul, ahead of the by-election in April next year, the power of the people and the party support of the Democratic Party both rose, with 34.1% and 28.6% respectively.

In Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam, the people’s strength rose 12%p to 43.1% from Jeonju, and the Democratic Party recorded 21.3%, down 7.5%p.

This survey was conducted on 2,008 voters aged 18 and over nationwide for four days from the 21st to the 24th, and the sample error is ±2.2%p with a 95% confidence level.
