The number of corona19 confirmed cases continues to plummet every day.

The spread of infection and quarantine efforts to prevent it are in a tight tug of war.

Recently, group infections continue to occur in places where many people live together, such as correctional facilities and nursing hospitals, so quarantine has not been effective.

We must focus on available quarantine resources and capabilities with the idea of ​​responding one step ahead.

In the case of the eastern detention center in Seoul, the timing of the initial response has been missed and the situation has grown, so we must respond quickly.

The Ministry of Justice cooperates closely with the quarantine authorities to make every effort to respond to emergencies until the situation is stabilized, and thoroughly inspect the quarantine network of the entire correctional facility to ensure that there is no gap.

In nursing hospitals and nursing facilities where the elderly are located, preemptive quarantine management is very important as confirmed patients are severely deteriorated and eventually lead to death.

In the last month, the number of people who died from Corona 19 has soared to 440, and the cumulative death toll has also exceeded 1,000 today.

Most are elderly people in their 70s or older who were in nursing homes or nursing homes.

The reason why we are fighting COVID-19 even while surrendering to our normal lives and taking on economic pain is in the end to protect the precious lives and safety of the people.

In each local government, nursing hospital, and nursing facility, please faithfully implement the government’s emergency medical response plan, and the quarantine authorities should actively provide necessary support while continuing to monitor the implementation status of the site.

Starting today, the bar exam administered by the government and the national examination for doctors are held in sequence.

Yesterday, one day before the bar exam, the Constitutional Court decided to give the confirmed cases a fair opportunity.

The Ministry of Justice is urged to respect the constitution’s decision and take the necessary measures promptly so that all candidates can safely take the test.

In addition, the Ministry of Human Resources and the Ministry of Employment, etc., which are in charge of various national examinations, should consider in advance the quarantine management measures for future examinations, taking into account the purpose of this constitutional decision.
