[전국]Two patients in Gyeonggi nursing hospital died of AZ vaccine

Two patients in nursing hospitals who received the AstraZeneca vaccine died one after another.

Both had underlying medical conditions, and health authorities investigated to determine if they were due to adverse vaccine effects.

The first death toll since the start of AstraZeneca vaccination in Korea on the 26th of last month.

A patient in the nursing hospital in Goyang and Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi-do, and a male in her 50s and 60s.

A patient in her 50s who was vaccinated at a nursing hospital in Goyang had a heart attack and shortness of breath on the day of vaccination and recovered after receiving first aid, but died a day later after having a heart attack again.

This patient was a patient with multiple underlying diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and stroke.

A man in his 60s who was vaccinated on the 27th of last month at a nursing hospital in Pyeongtaek developed fever and muscle pain the next day, and died a day after he moved to a large hospital.

This patient had a history of cerebrovascular disease.

Along with this, a man in his 50s who was vaccinated at a nursing hospital in Uijeongbu also became depressed 20 minutes after vaccination and had severe adverse reactions such as headache and general weakness.

This patient has been transferred to a hospital and is being treated, but now the condition is known to have improved.

Health authorities are conducting epidemiological investigations to determine the exact cause of death and serious adverse reactions as it is not anaphylaxis, which is a side effect of the vaccine.

In addition, we are monitoring for any adverse reactions to other vaccinations in the nursing hospital.
