In dry weather, strong winds blew, causing wildfires across the country, including Andong, Gyeongbuk and Yecheon, Gyeongbuk.
Amid an evacuation order for residents in a nearby private house, even helicopters were evacuated overnight, making it difficult to evolve.

The light and hazy smoke swallows up the sky.
The fire started at around 3:20 pm at Yasan, Mangcheon-ri, Imdong-myeon, Andong-si, Gyeongbuk.
In dry weather, strong winds spread, and the fire spread violently.
The fire department, which initiated the second phase of the response to mobilize local firefighting forces, is making efforts to reduce damage by ordering evacuation of hundreds of residents and controlling some national highways.
Around 4:10 pm, a fire also caught in the mountains of Yecheon-gun, Gyeongbuk.
The flames that came down from the strong wind formed a red band and descended right next to the national highway.

Fire and forest officials say the strong winds have made it difficult to extinguish, and say they are building a defensive line to prevent further flames from spreading overnight.
Forest fires followed in Akyang-myeon, Hadong-gun, Gyeongnam and Maegok-myeon, Yeongdong-gun, Chungbuk.
In response to simultaneous wildfires, the Forest Service issued a’severe’ stage of national crisis warning of forest fires to these four cities and counties in the affected areas, and the Ministry of Public Administration and Security also operated the forest fire countermeasure support headquarters.
The forest authorities explained that no human casualties have been reported yet, and that it is mobilizing all ground personnel as it is a night situation.

The forestry and fire departments plan to put in a helicopter as soon as the day comes to extinguish the main fire in the morning.
