Corona 19 confirmed cases related to the BTJ World Center in Sangju, Gyeongsangbuk-do are appearing one after another across the country.

As it turned out that 2,000 people attended the event held at the end of last year, ignoring the warning of the quarantine authorities, voices of concern over the second’Shincheonji Daegu Church crisis’ are emerging.

There are several confirmed cases in two churches in Chungju.

All of them are pastors and members of the BTJ World Center in Sangju, North Gyeongsang Province, including teenage students.

The number of confirmed cases in the Chungju area associated with the Nation Center has increased by more than 40 in the new year alone.

The situation is more serious in Ulsan.

As members who visited the Center of the Nations participated in their church events, more than a hundred confirmed cases came out from 17 churches.

There are a number of confirmed cases related to the World Center in Gwangju and Busan, Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk.

There are more than 2,400 people estimated to have participated in two events held at the Center of the Nations at the end of last year by the quarantine authorities.

The quarantine authorities foreshadowed a strong response when the Nation’s Center showed non-cooperation, such as damaging the assembly restraining order even though the situation was unusual.

Each local government has issued an administrative order to prohibit diagnostic tests and gatherings for church members who have visited the Nation Center.

Sangju City is planning to immediately prosecute the violation of the administrative order and to request the National Center for the cost of quarantine caused by the occurrence of a confirmed person.

In addition, if the violation of the quarantine regulations is not corrected, we are considering closing the facility and canceling the permission to establish a corporation.

BTJ Center for the Nations was operated in cooperation with Intercorp, a Christian missions organization, and entered Sangju in 2013.
