The government has eased business restrictions so that non-metropolitan restaurants can open until 10:00 p.m. from Monday.

The self-employed people’s reactions that they were a little out of breath and that they were still sad were mixed.

The owner of a restaurant in Busan tried to ignore the government announcement.

It’s not going to be what was expected, and the impact on sales is not going to be significant.

Rather, they accused the government of repressing only self-employed people.

[부산 서면 자영업자 : 미미하죠. 솔직히 장사하는 사람 입장에서는…. 그래도 뭐 다 기대했는데, 11시까지는 기대를 했는데….]

Rather, there are opinions that it would be more helpful to self-employed people to flexibly apply the ban on groups of 5 or more.

[김영하 / 대구 삼덕동 자영업 : 밤 9시나 10시나 시간제한 보다는 5인 이상 집합 금지 그런 부분이 조금 완화되거나 아니면 다른 대책으로 확실한 거리두기를 통해서 2인, 3인이 나눠 앉아서 식사하실 수 있으면….]

On the other hand, some merchants are glad to have extended even an hour.

It is a hope that if you sell even a cup of coffee it will get better.

[연 철 / 카페 사장 : 기존에는 영업 제한이 있어서 아무래도 많이 힘들었는데, 이제 한 시간 더 늘려주니까 더 많이 좋아진 것 같습니다.]

Citizen reactions were also mixed.
