[전국]”Healing meeting for violating quarantine rules”…Sister church group infection spread nationwide

Corona 19 confirmed patients are following in so-called’sister churches’ in 13 places across the country.

The infection spread across the country as a result of participating in religious rallies in and out of the region.

It is a church in Buk-gu, Daegu.

In one day, nine members of the church and their families were tested positive for Corona 19, and an administrative order was issued to block access.

Only in Daegu, the cumulative number of confirmed cases exceeded 10.

In Jeonbuk regions such as Jeonju and Gunsan, there are more than 20 confirmed cases related to this church.

The church is known to operate 13 sister churches nationwide.

In addition to religious activities, meetings and activities were held under the name of’Healing Center’, and members of the church attended other local churches from time to time.

The quarantine authorities estimate that the meeting held in Hoengseong, Gangwon-do on the 29th and 30th of last month was the beginning of the nationwide spread.

Since that day, the virus has spread not only to Daegu and Jeonbuk, but also to Seoul, Daejeon, and Gyeongbuk, and the infection has exceeded 130 people.

In Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do, nearly 20 people and family members who visited the funeral home were infected.

As group infections via religious facilities spread across the country, concerns are growing as to whether the fourth pandemic becomes a reality.
