In Gwangju, the number of confirmed cases continues to increase as a group infection occurred in Antioch Church following TCS International School under IM Mission.

The quarantine authorities are confirming that the family of the associate pastor of the church attended TCS International School and are investigating the association of infection.

The number of confirmed cases related to the Antioch Church in Seo-gu, Gwangju increased to 54 with 30 added yesterday alone.

Among these are the associate pastors and family members of the church.

It has been confirmed that the associate pastor’s family attended Gwangju TCS International School, where more than 100 confirmed cases were present.

The quarantine authorities are paying attention to the link between the TCS International School operated by IM Mission and the Antioch Church and are conducting epidemiological investigations on the route of infection.

There is also a high possibility of more confirmed cases.

This church held five worship services on the 24th, and it was found that about 400 people, about half of the registered members, attended.

The city of Gwangju has issued an order to close the facility for two weeks and is conducting thorough inspections not only for attendees, but also for all members.

However, some members of the church are known to show a non-cooperative attitude, such as refusing to be tested.

The aftermath of the church group infection is spreading beyond Gwangju to other regions.

As Boseong-gun Office officials attending this church were confirmed, the Boseong-gun Office building was temporarily closed and a full staff inspection was conducted.

In Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, confirmed cases related to Taekwondo academy continue to appear?

In Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, 11 additional people, including students and their families, were confirmed in relation to Taekwondo Academy.

As a result, the cumulative number of confirmed cases related to Andong Taekwondo Academy has increased to 45.

In Pohang, 15 people, including contacts of existing confirmed patients, were tested positive.

Of these, three were confirmed to be infected during a total inspection of at least one person per household.
