Only yesterday afternoon, 5 people were added as confirmed cases related to entertainment establishments.

On that day, 22 people were tested positive at a sports facility that doubled as a public bath in Saha-gu, Busan.

An epidemiological investigation revealed that infected people in an entertainment establishment used the facility.

Since the 24th of last month, infections mediated by entertainment establishments have spread greatly across Busan.

So far, the number of related confirmed cases is approaching 200.

There are more than a hundred entertainment establishments across Busan where confirmed cases have appeared or have gone through.

The city of Busan is in a hurry, raising its social distancing to the second stage and conducting a large-scale on-site inspection this weekend.

All available personnel, such as local governments and police, are mobilized to check quarantine regulations and business hours for over 4,100 entertainment establishments.

In addition, an administrative order has been issued for employees of entertainment establishments and those who have used entertainment establishments after mid-March.

As the number of confirmed cases increases rapidly, Busan City is operating additional life treatment centers and seeking cooperation from nearby local governments in preparation for the shortage of beds.

In Gyeongsan, Gyeongsangbuk-do, group infections from day care centers for the elderly are spreading.

Infection ignited not only in the nursing home in the same building, but also in another elderly care facility in the annex.

Seven additional people were tested positive and the cumulative number of confirmed patients reached 30.

In Daejeon, 5 new people were confirmed in connection with religious gatherings.

There are 5 members in their 40s to 70s, and they are all members of a small church in Gunsan, Jeollabuk-do.

They were found to have held religious meetings from the 23rd of last month in Daejeon, Jeonju, and Hoengseong in Gangwon-do.
