The number of confirmed cases related to a nursing school in Gumi, Gyeongbuk continues to increase.

Infection has spread to instructors, students, and family members since the student was first confirmed on the 5th.

Until now, there are only 22 confirmed cases related to this nursing school, and it is not limited to Gumi, but has spread to nearby areas such as Gimcheon and Chilgok.

As other infection cases continued to occur, Gumi City decided to strengthen social distancing in 2.5 steps for a week starting on the 11th.

The number of confirmed cases related to the BTJ Universal Center, a religious facility in Sangju, Gyeongsangbuk-do, is also increasing throughout the region.

Two congregational members living in Daejeon were confirmed yesterday, and two contacts of the BTJ Community Center-related confirmed cases in Chungju, North Chungcheong Province were infected.

The quarantine authorities have issued an administrative order for visitors to undergo diagnostic tests as there have been confirmed cases related to this center nationwide, but the facility is currently closed.

In addition, at Doeun Hospital in Jincheon, Chungcheongbuk-do, where the same group is quarantined, the cumulative number of confirmed cases increased to 127 as 11 additional people were diagnosed. Small-scale infections related to the church continue sporadically in Daegu, Cheonan, Chungnam, and Changwon, Gyeongnam.

Small-scale infections through family and acquaintances continue, and cases of confirmation after visiting a wedding hall or bathhouse continue.
