The aftermath of the coronavirus outbreak at the Asan plant of the cricket boiler has spread across the country, and the cumulative number of confirmed cases reaches 159.

The infection spread through family gatherings as employees moved during the Lunar New Year holidays.

As feared, a community infection that was mediated by a confirmed family has become a reality.

There are cases where employees of the boiler plant in Asan, Chungcheongnam-do, visit their home or hometown during the Lunar New Year holidays and infect their families.

It has been reported in Daegu, Gyeongbuk, Gangwon-do, Daejeon, Busan, and Sejong.

Community infections that were concerned have also come true.

A couple in their 60s in Hoengseong, Gangwon-do, were tested positive after contacting the children of a confirmed factory employee.

In Daejeon, a serial infection was reported in which a co-worker who had contact with an infected family member was confirmed.

There are also students among the Daejeon family members, and emergency diagnostic tests were conducted on about 90 people who came into contact with the school.

Prompt contact investigation is essential to block community infections.

However, as the infection is large, it takes time to track the movement of the confirmed person, and the identification of the contact person is delayed.

In particular, it has been confirmed that some foreign employees, etc., have trouble identifying the movement path due to communication problems.

The quarantine authorities are mobilizing all resources to prevent further proliferation, and emphasized that they will take measures in accordance with the law on confirmed cases that have hidden traffic lines.
