[전국]Arrested in his thirties trying to get money by smashing an ATM with a stolen excavator

Police arrested a man in his thirties who tried to steal money by breaking an ATM with a stolen excavator.

Due to debt, this man is known to have driven 17 kilometers away from where the excavator was stolen and committed the crime.

Reporter Ko Jae-hyung’s report.

ATMs fell to the side and shattered everywhere.

In order to get the money out, 35-year-old Mr. A stole the excavator and broke the ATM.

It was the early morning of the 16th that Mr. A committed the crime.

Residents were awakened by the sound of an excavator breaking the machine and a loud alarm.

[지역 주민 : 쾅쾅쾅 하는 소리가 나서 그냥 소리가 났으면 괜찮을 텐데 굴착기로 크게 소리가 나서 무섭고 하니까 나와 보지도 못했어요.]

Mr. A, who failed the crime, ran away to the back of the village and was caught by the police.

It is known that Mr. A was also quite deliberate in stealing the excavator prior to the crime.

Before stealing the excavator, Mr. A meticulously prepared for the crime, such as coming to check that the equipment was working properly.

The owner is embarrassed to learn that a well-established excavator was used for crime from 17 kilometers away overnight.

Mr. A, who said he committed the crime because of debt.

Eventually, he was arrested by the police for theft and breaking the ATM.
