AstraZeneca vaccine shipment is scheduled at around 10:30 am.

Now about 3 hours left.

As the time is still early, no security forces such as police or military have been deployed.

It is a calm atmosphere except for the fact that the military and police patrol inside and outside the factory can be seen from time to time, and reporters are gathering one by one.

Today here in Andong, Prime Minister Jeong Sye-gyun takes care of the entire process of shipping vaccines.

Prime Minister Chung will first preside at a meeting of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters at the Gyeongbuk Provincial Office from 8:30 a.m. to check the transportation process and plans again.

After that, about 10 o’clock, we move to the SK Bioscience factory and finally inspect the shipping site.

Today’s shipment is 300,000 doses, a scale capable of inoculating 150,000 people.

SK Bioscience signed a consignment production contract with AstraZeneca in July of last year.

The vaccines shipping today are the first to be supplied in bulk, except for clinical trials.

The scene on the screen now shows the 2nd simulation training for vaccine transportation on the 19th.

Today, the vaccine is transferred to a distribution center in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do, with police guidance as in training.

From 8:00 am, the police dispatched more than 100 people, including commandos and rioters, to support the vaccine transport operation.
