A bus with a middle school soccer team hit a tree on the downhill, killing one middle school student and injuring 30 seriously injured.

An unfortunate accident occurred during winter training, and the police are investigating the exact cause of the accident.

The front part of the 45-seater large soccer team bus was badly broken.

The side of the door is more severely crushed, as if it was struck down with an ax.

The side window was also broken.

The bus went off the road and hit a tree and stopped.

Of the 31 people on the bus in this accident, one middle school student died and 30 injured small and large.

The people on the bus were players and officials from the middle school soccer team who visited Sancheong in Namyangju, Gyeonggi-do for winter training.

There was an accident while going from the hostel to the stadium.

The bus was running downhill with a steep slope.

The coach who drove the bus told the police that the brakes did not work.

[경찰 관계자 : 내리막 구간이 1km 이상 되거든요. 운전자 진술은 갑자기 브레이크가 작동 안 됐다…. 잦은 브레이크 작동으로 공압이 빠지지 않았나 추정이….]

The police will work with the Road Traffic Authority to reveal the cause of the accident by opening up various possibilities such as vehicle defects, road structure problems, and driver carelessness.

We will also investigate whether the coaches instructed the students to wear seat belts.
