“Promote balanced regional development through relocation of public institutions”
There is not a lot of resistance to the sudden announcement of the transfer of public institutions

Gyeonggi Province moves more than half of its public institutions to the northern and eastern regions of Gyeonggi Province.
This is a measure to promote balanced development by moving public institutions to relatively underdeveloped areas.

Gyeonggi Province newly announced seven public institutions for relocation.
Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation, which has been leading housing supply and urban development, including the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation, which has served as a financial support for SMEs and small business owners.
These include Gyeonggi Research Institute, Economic Science Promotion Agency, Agriculture and Fisheries Promotion Agency, Welfare Foundation, and Women’s Family Foundation.
If you combine 8 public institutions, including the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization and the Cultural Foundation, which have been relocating from last year, all 15 institutions will be moved.
There are over half of the total 26 public institutions under Gyeonggi Province.
The transfer destination is the northern and eastern regions of Gyeonggi Province.
It is bounded by military reserves or water supply reserves, so only horses are the metropolitan area, which is much inferior to other metropolitan areas.

However, the backlash against this announcement is also great.
In particular, about 1,000 employees of the organization are compelled to consider moving, and the announcement was made without a feasibility study or revision of regulations.

In the future, Gyeonggi Province plans to select the relocation region through a public offering targeting 17 cities and counties in the north and east of Gyeonggi Province, but it is likely that there will not be little pain.
