The number of lawmakers whose wealth increased by more than 100 million won was 168 (56.1%). The number of lawmakers increased by more than 1 billion won reached 9 (3.0%), 18 (6.0%) increased more than 500 million to less than 1 billion won, and 141 (47.3%) were between 100 million and less than 500 million won. In addition, 46 people (15.4%) from 50 million won to less than 100 million won and 33 (11.1%) less than 50 million won.

As the Public Officials Ethics Act and Presidential Decree were revised last year, changes in the method of evaluating and reporting unlisted stocks had an effect on property changes. Unlisted stocks were reported at face value, but from June last year, they were calculated as actual transaction price or valuation, not face value.

Independent Congressman Yoon Sang-hyun, whose assets increased the most in a year, reported an increase of 18.42 billion won. The main reasons were the sale of listed stocks and fluctuations in the price of unlisted stocks. Democratic Party lawmaker Park Jung also increased by 13.9 billion won. The price fluctuation of unlisted stocks was large.

Hong Ik-pyo, Chairman of the Democratic Party’s Policy Committee, Park Seong-jung and Ahn Byung-gil, National Assembly Speaker Park Byeong-seok, the People’s Power Peak, and Democratic Party lawmakers Kim Hoi-jae and Kim Byung-wook reported an increase of over 1 billion won. The increase in the wealth of Congressman Hong Ik-pyo also caused a large change in the value of unlisted stocks (10,000 shares of Yein Architecture Research Institute). The company’s stock, which was reported at 50 million won last year, increased to 2,8332.13 million won this year.

The number of lawmakers whose property declined was 51, accounting for 17.1% of the total. By the scale of property reduction, 16 people (5.4%) under 50 million won, 11 people (3.7%) over 50 million won to less than 100 million won, 14 people (4.7%) over 100 million won to less than 500 million won (4.7%), 500 million won or more ∼3 people (1.0%) under 1 billion won and 7 people (2.4%) over 1 billion won. As of the end of last year, Minister of Public Administration and Security Jeon Jeon-cheol and Minister of Unification Lee In-young, who also served as members of the State Council, disclosed their assets under the administration.
