[일지] From the beginning of the autumn-尹 conflict to the decision to suspend execution by Yoon Seok-yeol

As the conflict between Justice Minister Choo Mi-ae and Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol spread from the beginning of this year to court battles over discipline, the court again raised the hand of President Yoon.

The 12th administrative division of the Seoul Administrative Court (Deputy Judge Hong Soon-wook) decided to return to office on the 24th by citing a request for suspension of execution issued by President Yoon asking for the suspension of the two-month suspension.

The conflict between the two sides began in a nervous war over personnel at the prosecutors’ office immediately after the inauguration of Minister Chu in January, and began in earnest with the initiation of the investigation and command of the Chancellor in July in relation to the Channel A case.

The conflict went to the extreme when Minister Chu ordered the inspection of President Yun. Subsequently, in November, Minister Chu filed a request for disciplinary action against President Yoon and exclusion from his duties, which led to a total war.

As a result, President Yoon confronted him with an application for suspension of execution, and the Seoul Administrative Court decided on the 1st to suspend the effect of the exclusion of his duties against him, and he returned to his duties.

However, on the 16th, the Prosecutors’ Disciplinary Committee of the Ministry of Justice imposed a two-month suspension on President Yoon, and on the same day, President Moon Jae-in approved the punishment against him. Minister Chu expressed his gratitude to President Moon.

Yoon, who was removed from his duties after being suspended for two months, immediately filed an administrative suit requesting the court to revoke the disciplinary disposition and filed a request for suspension of execution.
