[인터뷰] ‘Queen of Iron Man’ Seol In-ah “I want to challenge the role of Villanelle”

“I watch the BBC drama’Killing Eve’ these days, and I really thought I wanted to play the role of’Billanelle’ appearing there. If we talk about genre, I want to act in action.”

After completing the drama’Queen Iron Man’, Seol In-ah expressed her thoughts of wanting to challenge the action.

Actor Seol In-ah, who has already entered the 7th year of his debut, made a successful acting transformation in the tvN weekend drama’Queen Iron Man’, which ended on the 14th, making him look forward to the next.

Seol In-ah played the first love of Cheoljong (played by Kim Jeong-hyun) in’The Queen Ironman’. Hwa-Jin’s usual dignity was different, but between Cheoljong and Kim So-Yong (Shin Hye-seon), he became blackened by jealousy and betrayal, and he was increasingly confronted with Kim So-Yong.

In a written interview, Seol In-ah said, “It’s been a long time since it’s been a historical drama, so it was a lot of burden and trembling, but it was a fun time.” He shared his impressions of the end of the show.

Regarding the acting of Hwajin in the play, he explained, “As the script came out and I continued to live as Hwajin, there were times when I was transferred to Hwajin and sometimes added emotions.” “I adjusted this part by paying attention to the tone and attitude of the historical drama.” did.

In-ah Seol said that the scene in the play where he said, “The body must be May,” is memorable. It was a projected scene of Hwa-Jin who turned away from the truth and thought only what he wanted to believe.

How was the actual acting breathing with Shin Hye-seon, who always had a confrontation in’Queen Iron Man’? Seol In-ah said, “My sister had the most schedule among the actors she was filming, but she was always full of laughter and consideration. “I learned a lot,” he said, “we could have various and vivid acting from rehearsing to shooting.”

Q-The tvN drama’Queen of Iron Man’ is over, and I’m curious about the end of the show.



It’s been a long time since it was a historical drama, so it was a lot of burden and trembling, but it was a fun time. I think I was able to act more comfortably than the burden I thought because I liked breathing with the actors, the staff, and the director.

Q-How did you prepare in advance to play the changing character of harmony?

As the script came out and I continued to live as Hwajin, there were times when I transferred to Hwajin and sometimes added emotions, but it seems that I was concerned about the tone and attitude of the historical drama while adjusting these parts. There was no difficulty in acting on the changing character, and we focused on the tone part of the historical drama.

Q-What is the most impressive or unforgettable scene among’Queen Iron Man’?

There were so many impressive scenes even in the scene where I wasn’t coming out. In the scene where Hwa Jin-i appears, he turns away from the truth until the end and tells Yeongpyeong-gun that’the body must be May’ for what he wants to believe.

In the eyes of the viewers, it may seem that’Hwajin is crazy’, but to me, it was a scene where Hwajin looked very unstable mentally, so I read it impressively, and when I read the script, it hurt my heart.

Hwajin seemed so anxious enough to believe in the situation, but on the other hand, I hated it a little, and I wondered why he would answer so even though Youngpyeong-gun gave the answer. In addition, he fell into the scheme of Ansong Kim Moon, and in the end, Mama, the great queen, commits a grave sin for King Cheoljong as he wishes, and the part that the work in the lake is all his fault. That part was impressive.

Q-You tried to transform your acting through’Queen Iron Man’, but what role do you want to challenge in the future?

Specifically, while watching a BBC drama called’Killing Eve’ these days, I really thought I wanted to play the role of Villanel. If I talk about genre, I want to act in action. (BBC America’s popular drama’Killing Eve’ is a thriller that depicts the pursuit of a psychopath killer’Billanelle’ (Jody Comer) and a British intelligence agent’Eve’ (Sandra Oh).)

Q-What are your plans for the new year 2021? What do you want to take personally?

We will do more to show you more of a good image. We are going to do our best for each work that we will be together with as a good opportunity, so I hope you look at it beautifully.

Q-When Hwajin and Soyong in’Queen Iron Man’ meet, they set an angle and confront. How was the filming breath with actor Shin Hye-seon in the actual scene?

When I was with Shin Hye-seon’s sister, various and vivid acting could come out from rehearsal to shooting. Even though she had the most schedule among the actors she filmed, she learned a lot from her always full of laughter and consideration.

Q-What role do you want to play the most in’Queen of Iron Man’ except for the character of Harmony?

I want to play two roles, Kim So-yong and Choi Sang-gung. I want to express it in a fun and attractive way.

Q-What is the most memorable moment while you debuted as an actor and have been acting so far?

It is thrilling when the emotions that touch when making eye contact while matching with the other person and the truth of acting through eye contact meet. As an anecdote, there was a scene where Bok-in Yoon and Bok-in were hugged and crying at the time of filming’It’s Sunny Again’, and it was the first day I felt the thrill.

Q-I think there will be a lot of actor Seol In-ah, who hasn’t shown it yet, but what would you like to show more to viewers and the public?

As I said earlier, I want to try acting in action. While working as a’sapulin pool’, I experienced a job as a police officer for a short while, but I have thought of wanting to be a police officer.
