Four former U.S. presidents appeared in an advertisement to encourage the public to get the corona vaccine.

According to CNN broadcast on the 11th (local time), an advertisement for the Corona 19 vaccination appeared this week, featuring former US presidents such as Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama. The advertisement was created by the non-profit Ad Council to respond to vaccine skepticism. All of the advertisements they appear in are two.

In this advertisement, which takes less than a minute, these four former presidents and first ladies get vaccinated while wearing masks. In the video caption, “I highly recommend your vaccination. Roll up your sleeves. It is our chance (can also be interpreted as’to get a shot’)” written on it. Former presidents encourage the people to get vaccinations in their own way. Former President Bush said, “Everyone will be able to use the vaccine soon.” President Obama said, “I hope the vaccine will protect you and your loved ones from dangerous and deadly diseases.” Former President Clinton explained why he was vaccinated, saying, “I want to work again and go around here and there.”

Only former President Donald Trump and his wife, Mrs. Melania, were left out of the surviving US presidents in the ad. President Trump was vaccinated against the coronavirus in January, but it was revealed only weeks after he left the White House.

CNN said, “This ad was released at a very important time in the fight against Corona.” This is because the corona crisis in the United States has barely entered the stage of calm. In fact, the number of new confirmed cases in the U.S. per day is at the level of 60,000, which is a sharp decline compared to 250,000 per day in early January.
