A magnitude 7.1 earthquake occurred off the coast of Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, resulting in more than 100 wounded.

The’nightmare’ is reviving a month or so before the 10th anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred on March 11, 2011.
The earthquake, which took place off the coast of Fukushima Prefecture, occurred on Saturday night at 11:07 pm on the 13th. Damage was concentrated in Fukushima Prefecture and Miyagi Prefecture.

According to Kyodo News, due to the shaking of the earthquake, water overflowed from the spent fuel tank (pool) at the top of each reactor building of Fukushima No. 1 Nuclear Power Plant Units 5 and 6. TEPCO explained that water has not been confirmed to have leaked outside the building and has no external impact.

The Japan Meteorological Agency analyzed the earthquake as the aftershock of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake.

The Great East Japan Earthquake occurred on March 11, 2011 on a scale of 9.0 off the coast of Miyagi Prefecture, and resulted in a tsunami, resulting in 15,000 dead and 2,500 missing. At that time, radioactive material leaked due to the explosion of the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant.
