The Trump Plaza Hotel, once known as a specialty in New Jersey, was demolished on the 17th (local time).

According to the Associated Press and other foreign media, the old’Trump Plaza Hotel & Casino’ building in Atlantic City, New Jersey was blown up in 7 seconds using 3,000 dynamites on that day. It is known that the remaining eight stories high will be removed with heavy equipment by June.

The facility opened in 1984 when former President Donald Trump was a real estate entrepreneur, and at the time of its opening, it was recognized as the largest hotel and successful casino in Atlantic City.

Large events such as boxer Mike Tyson’s match and singer Rolling Stones’ concert are held, making it a representative venue for the region. It is a frequent destination for celebrities such as Jack Nicholson, Mick Jagger, Oprah Winfrey, Madonna and Muhammad Ali, and it is also a casino that appeared in the movie’Ocean’s Eleven’ starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt.

Trump’s casino, which was once well-off, suffered from rival casinos rushing around. Eventually, former President Trump filed for bankruptcy in 2009, lost ownership and transferred to bankruptcy court officials, but the name’Trump’ remained in the building for a while. Afterwards, billionaire Carl Icahn took over the building in 2016, but the facility, which remained an unobtrusive killer after its business cessation in 2014, was ultimately destined for demolition.

The demolition of the building took place less than a month after former President Trump retired from his presidency on the 20th of last month.
