Lee Jae-young (25) and Lee Da-young (25) of Heungkuk Life’s female professional volleyball player admitted and apologized for the controversy over school violence.

Lee Jae-young and Lee Da-young posted an apology on their respective SNS on the afternoon of the 10th.

Sister Lee Jae-young wrote in a handwritten letter, “I hurt many people with the irresponsible actions I committed in the past when I was immature. I bow my head and apologize.”

He added, “I should have admitted my wrongdoing sooner and apologized. I will never forget wrong actions and words and become a more mature person. I will self-sufficiently and live with reflection for life.”

Lee Da-young said, “I deeply apologize for the words and actions that made my colleagues have difficult memories and wounds in school,” and said, “I will visit the victims in person and apologize. I will feel deep guilt and self-respect and reflect.”

Heungkuk Life Insurance, who confirmed the facts, said, “We apologize for disappointment to the fans regarding the school violence of the players in the club.”

“The players are repenting for their wrongdoing as a student. I sincerely apologize to the victims who were hurt by their actions,” he said.

The club added, “I gave the players enough reflection. I will do my best to manage the players.”

This apology was made after a statement posted to the Internet community that Mr. A, who claimed to be a middle school alumnus of Lee Jae-young and Lee Da-young, was severely abused by two players while in school.

Mr. A said, “It’s been 10 years, so I thought I might forget to live, but when I see the posts on social media the perpetrator does not think about the actions he has done, I can remember that time. I want the (perpetrator) to look back on him. I write this way,” he said.
