On Christmas morning, on the 25th (local time), a car exploded in the United States. The police said in an initial briefing that it was a deliberate incident, not an accident.

On that day, CNN and the New York Times (NYT) reported in breaking news that a vehicle explosion occurred in Nashville, a central city in Tennessee. CNN said a statement by police spokesman Don Aaron Nashville that “it appears to be an intentional act” while “not much is known yet.” The local police explained that the incident was related to a parked recreational vehicle. However, the police did not specifically comment on the possibility of a’terrorism’ act.

At least three people have been injured at the scene so far in the explosion and taken to hospital. Those who have been fatally injured have yet to be identified, CNN said.

According to Nashville Mayor John Cooper, dozens of buildings near the scene were damaged and most of the glass was destroyed. Shortly after the incident, people were evacuated from the building, but it is not yet known how many people were affected by the incident. Local police are conducting investigations with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Alcohol, Tobacco and Fire Fighting Agency (ATF). Access to the nearby area where the explosion occurred was restricted.

Immediately after the incident, Twitter users nearby are taking videos of the scene and posting them on social media. According to some videos posted on social media, black smoke soars on the scene, and dozens of firefighters and police cars are dispatched to clean up the scene.
