On the 28th, the second day of the funeral of the late Nongshim founder, the late Chairman Shin Chun-ho, a mourner continued to visit the burial place at the funeral hall of Seoul National University Hospital in Jongno-gu, Seoul.

At around 10:30 am, Lotte Holdings Vice Chairman Song Yong-deok visited an empty place. The day before, former vice chairman of Lotte Holdings Hwang Gak-gyu stopped by and commemorated the deceased. Lotte Group chairman Shin Dong-bin and SDJ Corporation chairman Dongju, who are unable to attend the funeral due to their stay in Japan, sent a condolence wreath. In response, some people interpreted that “Nongshim and Lotte went to reconciliation after releasing the sediment that has been around for more than half a century.”

The deceased’s eldest son, Dong-won Shin, Vice Chairman of Yulchon Chemical, Dong-yoon Shin, Vice Chairman of Yulchon Chemical, Dong-ik Shin, Vice Chairman of Mega Mart, and Vice Chairman of Nongshim Planning, Shin Hyun-ju, welcomed the condolences while guarding the poor. The son-in-law Seo Kyung-bae, chairman of AMOREPACIFIC, also stayed with him.

On the previous day, Samyang Holdings Chairman Kim Yoon, Yoosu Holdings Chairman Choi Eun-young (formerly Chairman Hanjin Shipping), and SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won visited the poor.

Chairman Tae-won Choi remembered the deceased, saying, “I came to memorialize my friend’s father.” Chairman Tae-won Choi is the third son of Chairman Shin Chun-ho, Vice Chairman Shin Dong-ik, and Shin Il High School and Korea University.
