Emphasis on eco-friendly, future technology, and business competitiveness innovation

Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Eui-sun Eui-seon presented the’great transformation into a new growth engine’ as a management topic for the new year. Through new challenges and changes, we will visualize achievements in eco-friendly, future technologies, and business competitiveness. In particular, he emphasized, “When we pursue perfection with the attitude that we will not compromise on quality and safety in any case, we can gain customer trust.”

On the 4th, Chairman Eui-sun Eui sent an email to the global group’s executives and employees in a New Year’s message, “The mission that all of the group’s executives and employees must keep unchanged even in a difficult business environment is to realize humanity’s dream of’safe and free movement and peaceful life’ It is,” he said.

Chairman Chung said, “Even in a difficult situation with great anxiety and concerns from the corona, the Hyundai Motor Group has been greatly loved by the market and customers, expanding its global market position and achieving an increase in corporate value.” He said, “In the post-corona era, only companies that have prepared for change in advance can survive and grow.”

Chairman Chung, who defined 2021 as an important inflection point for future growth, presented the goal of’a great transformation into a new growth engine’. In addition, the goal was to increase the power of the eco-friendly market, secure future technology capabilities, and strengthen the group’s business competitiveness.

First, it plans to solidify its position as a leading global eco-friendly brand to expand its dominance in the eco-friendly market. Chairman Chung said, “With the launch of a new car based on the recently announced electric vehicle platform E-GMP, we plan to provide an attractive eco-friendly transportation method that reflects the diverse tastes and needs of customers at a more reasonable price, as well as more convenient and safer.”

Regarding the hydrogen field, “Hydrogen fuel cells, which are recognized as the world’s best technology, are carbon-neutral by expanding them to a variety of mobility and industrial power sources based on the brand’HTWO’, which means’hydrogen for humanity’. I will take the lead for this,” he added. Regarding securing future technology capabilities, he emphasized, “We will dominate the future market by continuously expanding investment in new technologies for free movement and peaceful life.”

Chairman Chung said, “We will realize the safest and most innovative mobility technology in the world by enhancing our autonomous driving, connectivity, and software capabilities.” We will prepare thoroughly so that we can do it.”

Above all, it emphasized customer-oriented quality innovation. Chairman Chung’s opinion is that all activities of Hyundai Motor Group have no meaning unless quality and safety, which are the first steps to respect customers, are secured.
