The spread of the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) has been continued with more than 1,000 patients for two consecutive days.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on the 26th, the number of new corona patients increased by 1132 as of 0 o’clock on the day, and the cumulative number of patients was 5,5902. It was 109 fewer than the previous day (1241), the record high, but over 1000 patients came out on the second day. 1132 is the second largest ever. The spread of group infections in detention centers, nursing hospitals, nursing facilities, and churches has not stopped.

The number of domestic outbreaks was 1104 and overseas outbreaks were confirmed to be 28.
There were 762 patients from Seoul (457), Gyeonggi (250), Incheon (55) and other metropolitan areas, 26 in Busan, 13 in Daegu, 27 in Gwangju, 11 in Daejeon, 8 in Ulsan, and 1 in Sejong, Gangwon 35, Chungbuk 38, Chungnam 61, Jeonbuk 37, Jeonnam 6, Gyeongbuk 33, Gyeongnam 22, Jeju 24, etc.

The number of foreign inflow patients was identified in 10 during the quarantine stage and 18 in the local community. There are 19 Koreans and 9 foreigners. In terms of the inflow countries, there were 2 Philippines, 1 Bangladesh, 5 India, 1 Indonesia, 2 Russia, 1 Japan, 1 France, 1 Turkey, 1 Czech Republic, 1 UK, 9 USA, 2 Canada People, Burkina Faso, etc.

The number of severe gastric patients decreased by 12 to 299, and the death toll increased by 20 to 793 (1.42%). The number of releases of quarantine increased to 484, a total of 38532. Currently, 16,577 people are in quarantine.

Although the government is implementing special quarantine measures during the year-end and New Year holidays with the aim of banning meetings of five or more restaurants nationwide and closing the sunrise spots, some voices say that the distance should be raised as the spread continues. On the 27th, the authorities will review the upgrade. However, it is highly likely that the current state (Seoul Metropolitan Area 2.5 Stage, Non-Metropolitan Area 2 Stage) is maintained as the government judges that recent local infection cases are being managed at a level that does not deviate from the trend.
