[속보] 2 additional people related to TCS Ace International School in Gwangju Cumulative 27

On the morning of the 24th, the door of Gwangju Bitnaeri Church in Yongdong-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju, is closed.

A new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) from Gwangju TCS Ace International School, an unauthorized alternative school for missions, is continuing.

According to the city of Gwangju on the 25th, as of 5:30 pm on the day, two people were tested positive for Corona 19 and were classified as confirmed cases 1517-1518 in Gwangju.

These are the children of a parent daycare center in Dong-gu. It is different from the Ace daycare center, which is associated with TCS Ace International School. As the daycare center director and teacher were identified as members of the Bitnaeri Church, they were classified as patients related to TCS Ace International School.

Accordingly, the number of TCS Ace International School-related patients increased to 27 patients, with 4 additional patients including 2 (1513-1514) in the morning.

Among the members of Bitnaeri Church attended by the Gwangju 1479 confirmed patient, an indicator of this group infection, there was the director of the daycare center and an assistant teacher to conduct the examination.

Gwangju No. 1479 is a member of the separate group Bitnaeri Church on the second floor of the school building, but it was classified as related to’TCS Ace International School’ for convenience because of the scale of the spread of 27 confirmed cases.

This building has an international school on the first floor, Bitnaeri Church on the second floor, and dormitories for international students on the third floor.

Students live in a room for two in the dormitory and share two toilets and four shower rooms.

Meals are buffet-style in the dormitory cafeteria, and food is prepared by school missionaries.

Due to the characteristics of a closed boarding school, it is estimated that group infections occurred among students.

These schools participated in the face-to-face worship held at the second floor church on the 20th for a special song (praise).

A total of 17 people attended the service, and masks were worn and guestbooks were written. It is known that no meals were served after the worship service.

The quarantine authorities are conducting an epidemiological investigation of the first confirmed person, Gwangju 1479, while the path of infection has not been identified.
