The Busan Mayor’s by-election poll announced during the Lunar New Year holidays showed that the preliminary candidate Park Hyung-jun is still leading.

Korea Research International, a public opinion poll, conducted a virtual bilateral confrontation with 805 adult men and women residing in Busan on the 8th and 9th at the request of MBC (sample error is ±3.5%p at 95% confidence level) As a result, the preliminary candidate Park Hyung-jun was 46.3% and the Democratic Party preliminary candidate Kim Young-chun was 28.9%. It was a 17.4%p gap that was largely out of the error range. The preliminary candidates for the Democratic Party Byeon Seong-wan were counted as 48.1% for Park and 25.5% for Byeon.

The preliminary candidate Lee Eon-joo was found to lead within the margin of error in the bilateral confrontation with the Democratic Party candidates. Lee Eon-ju 35.6% vs. Kim Young-chun 34.7%, Lee Eon-ju 34.8% vs. Byeon Seong-wan 29.3%.

In a survey of the suitability of candidates for the Busan mayor by party, the Democratic Party was in the order of 21.9% of the candidates for Kim Young-chun, 9.4% of the candidates for Byeon Seong-wan, and 3.4% for Park In-young and the Democrats.

In terms of the power of the people, the preliminary candidates for Park Hyung-jun 35.6%, Eon-ju Lee 10.6%, Sung-hoon Park 6.2%, and Minsik Park 5.2%.

Hyung-Jun Park 46.8% of the polls conducted by Ipsos, a public opinion polling agency, on 800 Busan voters through wired/wireless telephone interviews from the last 6-9 at the request of SBS , Kim Young-chun was 28.5%, with Park’s preliminary candidate 18.3%p ahead.

In the case of preliminary candidate Kim Young-chun vs. Lee Eon-ju, they competed within the margin of error at 33.3% and 35.8%, respectively.

Within the Democratic Party, Kim Young-chun 23.2%, Byun Seong-wan 4.2%, and Park In-young 3%.

The power of the people was Hyung-jun Park (33%), Eon-ju Lee (11.3%), Minsik Park (5.1%), and Seonghun Park (3%).
