In the midst of controversy, an acquaintance who has been with these families for 23 years was controversial when a public petition came up and controversial amid controversy over a national petition that the actor Yoon Jeong-hee (77), who is suffering from Alzheimer’s dementia, lives alone in France, neglected by her spouse Pianist Paik Gun-woo (75) and her daughter. I interviewed the recent conditions of the Paik Kun-woo couple.
Mr. A, who was anonymously interviewed on CBS Radio’s’Kim Hyun-jung’s News Show’ on the 8th, said, “Isn’t it sensitive between families,” and said, “There must have been a conflict.”
Mr. A emphasized, “It is a lie that I haven’t met in two years,” he said. “There will be some people wondering why they have to set up a separate house, attach a caregiver, and install CCTV to see their mother.”
Mr. A said, “In Korea, there are few people who care for dementia patients at home, and their daughter is working, and Ms. Paik continues to play overseas. I don’t know why, but Mr. Baek said,’My daughter decided to serve her mother, so I bought an apartment next door.’ Then, he took a picture of a flower in the apartment garden and a nice view and sent me.”
Regarding the contents of the petition that’I took it suddenly as I was kidnapped’, he said, “I think there was something wrong with the brothers at that time. So, I guess I didn’t want to be in Korea.”
Mr. A said the only thing that he sympathized with in the petition was Yoon Jung-hee’s condition. Mr. A said, “It looks 20 years older than his age. After continuing to work, she looks like a gray-haired grandmother because she is only at home due to illness and does not decorate or dye her hair. That’s a shame. I told you that it was not possible to provide a video containing the image of Mr. Yoon because it looked so.”

Press conference scheduled for controversy over petition by Paik Kun-woo
Petitioner wrote of Jeong-hee Yoon, “Alone in an apartment outside Paris without being cared for by a spouse in a state of separation from her husband, suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and diabetes.” In addition, he argued, “Although my daughter lives nearby, I can’t take care of my mother properly because my life is busy due to work and family life. I can’t go out alone and live like a prison.”
On the 7th, Paik Kun-woo’s Korean performance agency Vinche-ro issued an admission statement, “Since a few years ago, Yoon Jeong-hee’s health was rapidly deteriorating and he could not accompany him.” He explained that it is possible to live under the care of a caregiver designated by him.
After Yoon Jeong-hee traveled to Paris in May 2019, his brothers and sisters filed a lawsuit over the appointment and method of guardianship. It filed an objection to the Parisian District Court in France for designating Baek and his daughter Jin-hee as the guardians of Yun’s property and personal life, but said that the brothers and sisters had finally lost due to a ruling by the Paris High Court in November of last year.
At the time of the lawsuit, Yun’s younger brothers claimed that “the two could not provide adequate care to Yun and were suspected of financial embezzlement,” but the French court did not accept it. Some view this petition as an extension of that or a problem surrounding Yoon’s inheritance problem.
Mr. A said that Paik Geon-woo was shocked by the national petition and was unable to sleep, and said that he would hold an interview or press conference on the controversy soon.
