In an interview with CBS, A and B, who were accused of purchasing a banned drug, explained in an interview with CBS that’I heard it as a stem cell, but I returned it the next day after knowing it was a banned drug’ and’I thought it was a stem cell-based nutrient. A is planning to play active this year as well. B has retired and has been working as an amateur leader. It is known that A and B have not been caught doping at the time the suspicion was raised.

Previously, Lee Yeo-sang was convicted of selling and administering prohibited drugs to youth players in a baseball classroom he operated (violation of the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act), and was sentenced to October in prison in September 2019. The appeal was dismissed. In January of last year, KADA received a six-year suspension of qualifications for athletes and leaders.

The Secretariat of the Korea Baseball Commission (KBO) said, “I received a notification from KADA at the end of last year regarding the allegations of B.” “I received a notice from the KADA Sanctions Committee on the 9th, and I know that B was also sent a notice.” He added, “It is the appeal period until the end of this month, and when the final result is obtained, we will review the action accordingly.”

However, the KBO secretariat drew a line saying, “I have not received any notification from KADA regarding A.” The club in which A belongs also said, “We are checking the facts.”
