Son Heung-min (Tottenham Hotspur) was ranked 22nd in the annual World Men’s Soccer Players Ranking by the British Guardian. Son Heung-min is the only Asian player on the list of’Top 100′.
Son Heung-min was ranked 22nd among the ‘100 best male soccer players in the world in 2020’ announced by the Guardian on the 25th (Korean time). If 241 evaluators from 71 countries rank each of the 1st to 40th places, points are assigned and added accordingly. Son Heung-min received 208 votes.
In the list of 100 best soccer players each year selected by the Guardian since 2012, Son Heung-min was ranked 78th in 2018 for the first time, and the stock price rose to 19th last year. The Guardian said, “Son Heung-min is showing a hot start in the 2020-21 season and is moving toward the most individual score in a season.” Son Heung-min, with his 100th goal in front of Tottenham, is running second in the league with 11 goals as of the 25th.
