Kevin Na (38, Na Sang-wook), a Korean-American, swung a 9-under par and stepped on the threshold of his fifth victory in the US Professional Golf (PGA) tour.

Kevin I swept 1 eagle and 7 birdies without seeing in the 3rd round of the PGA Tour Sony Open held at the Waialay Country Club (par 70) in Honolulu, Hawaii on the 17th (Korean time). Kevin, who wrote 9-under-par 61 strokes, followed Brendon Steen (USA, 18-under-par), who took the first place alone by winning a tie for 2nd place with 16 under par 194 strokes in the middle. For Kevin Na, it is an opportunity to add a multiplier in about 1 year and 3 months after reporting 4 wins on the PGA Tour at the Schrainers Children’s Hospital Open in October 2019. After entering the 2020-21 season, a tie for 13th in the Masters Tournament last November was the best.

Kevin, who started with a tie for 19th place, announced the’Buddy Party’ of the day at the first 2nd (par 4) and 4th hole (par 3). Kevin I dropped the second shot from the 9th hole (par 5) to about 2.5m of the hole and succeeded without missing the chance to reduce the number of strokes.

Of the 14 driver tee shots that flew an average of 304.1 yards that day, he defended the fairway with half, and the landing rate was only 50%. However, this was supplemented with a green hit rate of 83.33%. In particular, the average number of putts was 0.821 per hole, and 25 of the 18 holes were blocked.

Among Korean players, Kim Si-woo (26) ranked the highest with a tie for 23rd (11 under par 199 strokes). The previous day, in the second round, he tied for 35th, but this day, he cut off five buddies without a look, raising the ranking by more than 10 places. Lim Seong-jae (23), who barely escaped the cut-off, cut two strokes, but stayed in a tie for 60th (6 under par 204).
