The Korean Basketball Federation (KBL) delayed the match between Anyang KGC and Busan kt, which was scheduled on the 25th.
KBL said on the day, “KGC Byun Jun-hyung showed symptoms of high fever (38 degrees) in the body temperature test of his club this morning, and he was tested for Corona 19 at the screening clinic and is in self-isolation at home.” Byun Jun-hyung’s test results are scheduled to be released on the 26th.
According to KBL’s Corona 19 Response Manual, when suspicious symptoms appear in the squad, the athlete is examined, quarantined, and the scheduled game schedule is digested. Regarding this, a KBL official said, “It is correct that the game proceeds normally according to the quarantine manual, but KGC and kt requested a postponement, and the Federation accepted it for safety.” I made this decision.”
Each club regularly checks the body temperature of players and reports it to KBL to respond to Corona 19. KGC also reported to KBL immediately after Junhyung Byun’s body temperature rose above 38 degrees this morning and took quarantine measures. If an athlete is confirmed as confirmed, an epidemiological investigation will be conducted according to the government policy.
It is likely that the game delayed on this day will be reorganized during the All-Star Break period. A KBL official explained, “Because the All-Star Game is not held this year, there is room to adjust the game schedule using the All-Star Break period.”
