The Toronto Blue Jays, the only Canadian-affiliated team in the American Professional Baseball Major League (MLB), are seeking to return to their home stadium later in the season. Accordingly, it is noteworthy when Toronto’Ace’ Ryu Hyun-jin will first appear at the home stadium, Rogers Center. Due to Corona 19, which hit the world last year, MLB players coming from abroad by Canada did not make exceptions to the two-week quarantine measures, while Ryu Hyun-jin and Toronto players were’unholy. Hyunjin Ryu transferred to Toronto in December 2019.
In this regard, Mark Shapiro, CEO of Toronto Club, said, “We have reliable information that we and Major League players will be vaccinated within the next two to three weeks or a month.” ‘It was reported on the 20th (local time). “If our players, staff and other team players are vaccinated in late April or early May, Toronto is a safe place,” Shapiro said. “We can formulate a request (to resume the game in Toronto). There is.”
However, the city of Toronto has banned all public events until July 1st. Accordingly, even if the game is held at the Rogers Center, there is no choice but to be unattended. In response, Shapiro explained, “Unless the situation changes rapidly, we cannot return to Toronto before July 1st.”
The Toronto Blue Jays are scheduled to hold their regular season home games until May 2nd at TD Ball Park, Dunedin, Florida. Next, home games are scheduled for May 14-24 and June 1-6. The Blue Jays are likely to remain in Florida until May. In this regard, Shapiro said, “It may remain a little longer than we planned in Dunedin, but playing here in Dunedin in early June will be a big challenge due to the weather.”
The Toronto club couldn’t play at the home stadium last year due to Corona 19, so Hyunjin Ryu couldn’t stand at the Rogers Center either. Toronto played a season using Sailon Field, a minor league stadium in Buffalo, New York as a temporary home.
