Girl group Gugudan decided to disband after 4 years of activities.

The agency Jelly Fish Entertainment announced on the 30th that “Gugudan, who has been running hard since its debut and has been loved a lot, will end its official group activities on the 31st.”

The agency said, “We and the members of Gugudan decided to end their group activities after a long, serious and in-depth discussion.” “The group activities are finished, but we do not spare our full support for various personal activities such as music and acting. I will do my best,” he added.

Gugudan garnered great interest from before debut as IoI members Sejeong and Mina joined. He debuted as a group of 9 in June 2016, released 3 mini-albums and 2 singles, and suffered withdrawal from the member once. Lastly, the 3rd mini album’Act. 5 New Action’, released in November 2018, has focused on individual member activities.

Sejung released her solo album twice this year and is currently playing an active part in the OCN drama’Amazing Rumors’. Mina appeared in’Hotel Del Luna’ and focused on acting. Other members have also continued to participate in musicals, entertainment programs and OSTs.
