John Gathert, 63, who served as the manager of the women’s gymnastics team in the United States, helped the national team’s chief Larry Nasser sexually assault hundreds of athletes, and he was charged with committing two sexual assaults.

The British BBC reported that Dana Nessell of Michigan prosecutors had confirmed that Gathert died on the evening of the 25th (local time). The prosecution indicted Gathert on 24 charges this morning. He was scheduled to appear at the prosecution this evening, but he did not show up and was found instead as a cold corpse. The deceased led the women’s mechanical gymnastics team at the 2012 London Olympics and owned a training facility in Michigan, where Nasser trampled more than 250 athletes. During the Nasser trial, a significant number of players stated that they were also sexually assaulted by Gathert.

The charges against him by the prosecution included verbal and physical violence charges, and there are also charges of sexual assault on two 13-year-old and 16-year-old girls. In addition, two cases were indicted for taking financial gains through trafficking in power, fraud, and coercion.

Nasser is sentenced to 300 years in prison in 2018 and is serving a sentence.
