Bread and hamburger prices are increasing

Food prices such as bread and hamburgers are increasing.

McDonald’s announced on the 19th that it will increase the price of a total of 30 items, including 11 types of burgers, by 100-300 won starting on the 25th.

The average price increase rate for all items is 2.8%.

Big Mac and Maxpie Shanghai Burger will increase by 100 won from 4500 won to 4600 won.

The bulgogi burger has risen 200 won for the first time in 8 years to 2,200 won.

The soda is also increased by 100 won, and the coffee is also increased by 100 to 300 won depending on the size and type.

McDonald’s explained the reason for the hike, saying, “The price of major raw materials such as chicken, pork, eggs, tomatoes, and onions has risen by 20-30%, and the burden of labor costs has increased over the past five years.”

McDonald’s announced that it plans to reintroduce the lunch discount menu’McLunch’, saying that it will relieve the customer burden from this price increase.

Earlier, Lotteria increased the price of 25 products such as burgers and desserts by 100-200 won from the beginning of this month.

For 13 types of burgers, 7 types of desserts, 2 types of drinks, and 3 types of chicken, the average increase rate is about 1.5%.

From the 19th, Paris Baguette, the number one bakery franchise brand in Korea, increased the recommended retail price of 95 items, which is 14.4% of 660 Paris Baguette products, by an average of 5.6%.

Peanut cream bread rose from 1200 won to 1300 won, and Soboru bread from 1100 won to 1200 won.

Tous Les Jours, the second-largest bakery brand, increased the price of over 90 products on average by about 9% last month due to rising raw material prices.
