[사회]YouTuber Hamji “If I had to say kimchi is Chinese food, I wouldn’t do it in China”

YouTuber’Hamji’, whose contract with a Chinese collaborator was canceled due to a conflict with Chinese netizens over the food culture of’Ssam and Kimchi’, expressed his position.

Hamsey told his YouTube community, “There are some misunderstoods about what has happened recently and it seems to be an unnecessary controversy, so I will tell you the truth.”

Hamji said, “A few months ago, I uploaded a video of ssambab. But just a few days ago, a Chinese YouTuber uploaded a video of eating ssam, and it must have been controversial. With tuber) I uploaded it every few days.” He wrote, “Even if I’m busy, I’m trying to read all the comments and press the heart, but it’s hard to read thousands of comments one by one, and almost all of them hit the heart.”

The comment that became a problem when Hamji clicked’Like’ in China was’Oh, I’m pissed at seeing this again.

Hamji said, “Here the expression’Chinese guys’ is a problem, but when translated with a translator, it was translated like a severe curse that would be misunderstood by Chinese people.” He said, “Since there was enough misunderstanding and it happened when I clicked’Like’, I apologized through live for that part.”

However, Hamji said, “(Apple) was apologizing for clicking’Like’ on a word translated like a curse, and I thought it was a Korean food and culture, so I said it again as I thought.”

However, as another Chinese translated Hamji’s live remarks related to’Ssam and Kimchi’ and uploaded it to Weibo, the Chinese criticism continued. In response, Hamji said, “In China, I apologized in the front and became another talker in the back, and this incident led me to terminate the contract with a company that helps with the Chinese platform work.”

Hamji said, “If the reason that the Chinese people feel betrayed and angry with me is because they agree with abusive language that demeaned Chinese people from a misunderstanding, I would be right. I won’t do it.”

“It is not necessary for Chinese people to say that Chinese food is Korean food in order to work in Korea. I think Chinese people will understand this part.” I hope that the subscribers will clear any misunderstandings.”

During the controversy last year, YouTuber Hamji was criticized for omitting paid advertisements. However, it has overcome the crisis by apologizing several times and donating a portion of its profits, and currently has 5.31 million subscribers.
