Pfizer vaccine may deteriorate if it is not maintained at -70 degrees Celsius and must be stored in a cryogenic freezer.

The quarantine authorities have already established a large freezer warehouse that goes down to -85 degrees below zero.

Distribution center in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi-do.

When you open the automatic door and enter, a 121㎡ freezer is unfolded and a strong chill comes out.

This is currently 72 degrees below zero.

I’ve been getting hot water like this, and I’ll spray it in the air.

As soon as I sprayed it like this, it became a fog in the air and disappeared.

It is a cryogenic warehouse that goes down to -85 degrees Celsius, and 10 million Pfizer vaccines that must be maintained at -70 degrees Celsius will be stored.

Modena vaccines that require -20 degrees Celsius and AstraZeneca vaccines that are sufficient at room temperature of 5 degrees can be stored.

This is because temperature can be adjusted for each warehouse.

Vaccines to be introduced in Korea are not transported directly from the airport to the medical site, but pass through the freezer.

This is because unexpected situations can occur during the delivery stage and require sorting and repackaging according to the quantity.

AstraZeneca, which is relatively easy to store, is a medical institution, and Pfizer and Modena vaccines that need to be kept in cryogenic conditions are delivered to the inoculation center.

Inoculation centers equipped with freezers will be installed at 250 locations nationwide by July, and gymnasiums will be used to provide sufficient distance and secure waiting space.
