[사회]’Vaccination’ simulation training started…”Proceed without prior participant guidance”

[앵커]

Mock training has begun ahead of the COVID-19 vaccination, which will begin within this month.

In particular, unlike in the past, we plan to check if there are any problems while proceeding with the vaccination procedure without providing information such as movement to participants in advance, and to check the preparation status assuming unexpected situations.

Now mock training has started, right?

The vaccination practice training started at 2pm just before.

It will be held here for about an hour and a half.

Participants are arriving one after another through the entrance that can be seen behind me.

Today’s mock training is a little different from the existing inspection where participants gathered at once and performed the vaccination procedure as guided.

From 2:00 p.m. to 30 minutes, 50 participants voluntarily choose a time to visit, and then go through the procedure as if they were real patients.

In addition, it is expected that the training will be based on the actual situation prior to full-scale vaccination because the vaccination procedure and movement are not provided in advance.

The simulated vaccination participants who visited here go through three major steps: waiting, vaccination, and observation.

First, before vaccination, the subjects gather and wait, fill out a questionnaire, and then undergo a screening process to receive vaccination.

In addition, after getting the vaccine, you will go through an observation step for 15 minutes or more to check for any symptoms such as allergies.

Throughout today’s training, how many people can be vaccinated in an hour, and whether confusion does not overlap.

It seems that virtual training will also be conducted in case of emergency.

If an abnormality occurs during the observation stage after receiving the vaccine, the condition is checked in the emergency treatment room and then transferred to the National Medical Center directly across the street.

We plan to check if this process is going well.

The entire process of this mock training will be disclosed to the reporters, and after the training, the head of the Central Vaccination Center will come directly to answer questions.

The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention plans to supplement the COVID-19 vaccination guidelines based on what was confirmed through today’s training.

It is expected that the guidelines based on today’s training will be applied to 250 vaccination centers to be prepared nationwide in the future.
