An accident occurred in which a passenger who got off the bus was killed.

The hem of the coat he was wearing was caught in the back door of the bus, and the driver started without seeing it.

Around 8:30 pm, a road in Paju City, Gyeonggi-do.

A woman in her 20s gets off at the city bus stop.

The moment you look back as if something is stuck, the rear door of the bus closes and you leave.

This woman fell and died, getting caught in her hem.

This is where the accident happened.

The victim who got off at the bus stop here was dragged about 10m and got into an accident at a crosswalk.

The police believe that the hem of the long knee-length coat worn by A, who died, was stuck in the rear door of the bus.

[근처 상인 : 마음이 참담하죠, 안타깝고. 젊은 사람이 그랬다니까…. 어떻게 이걸 받아들여야 할지, 누구 잘잘못을 떠나서 안타까운 마음뿐이에요.]

It was investigated that from the driver’s seat of the bus, the camera could see passengers getting off the rear door.

The bus driver was reported to have stated that he did not know that the clothes were getting stuck, although the bus driver confirmed that the passengers were disembarked during a police investigation.

[경찰 관계자 : 문에 얇은 옷이 끼어 있으니까, 그것까지 인식했는가 이 부분이 쟁점이 되겠죠.]

Experts point out that in the first place, the bus driver should have sufficiently checked the safety of the passengers.
