Yes. Voting started here at 6 a.m. a little while ago.

It’s still too early to see many voters looking for a polling place, so it’s a relatively calm atmosphere.

Today, it is not a holiday, so it is expected that many people will be crowded during the rush hour.

The pre-voting fever that took place last week was hotter than ever.

Despite the relatively low interest in the re-elections, the pre-voting rate alone reached 20.54%.

Seoul was 21.95%.

It surpassed the re-and-by-election elections in 2019, and was higher than in the simultaneous local elections in 2018.

In particular, a lot of attention is being paid to the results of the by-election of the mayor of Seoul, the largest local government in Korea.

There were 12 candidates in total this time.

Most voters in Seoul should choose one of them.

However, apart from this, the Seoul Metropolitan Assembly elections are held in the first election district in Gangbuk-gu.

It is important to note that in some areas of Yeongdeungpo-gu and Songpa-gu, there are also elections for members of the district, so those in the area will receive two ballots.

Voting today is open until 8pm.

If you are waiting and it is past 8 o’clock, you can still vote if you receive a waiting number.

Also, unlike pre-voting, you must use the designated polling place today.

Since there are more than 2,200 polling places in Seoul alone, it is better to check the polling place designated in advance and depart.
