As a result of the YTN poll on the investigation of allegations of real estate speculation by public officials such as LH employees, 2 out of 3 respondents said that the investigation by a special prosecutor was more appropriate than the police.

Regardless of region and age, opinions that preferred special prosecutors were prominent.

In principle, the ruling and opposition parties agreed to introduce a special inspection system to investigate allegations of real estate speculation by public officials such as LH employees.

The police, who lead the joint special investigation headquarters, say that the special prosecution is inappropriate for this case in terms of the size of the organization and manpower.

However, public opinion showed that the preference for a special prosecutor was overwhelming.

YTN commissioned Real Meter to survey 500 men and women aged 18 years and older nationwide on the 19th.

Only 26.9% said that the police investigation was appropriate.

Regardless of the region and age, public opinion on the preference of a special prosecutor was high.

It didn’t have much to do with ideological tendencies.

However, by supportive party, the opinions of the Democratic Party supporters’ preference for a special prosecutor were lower than those of the People’s Power and Shamans.

Although the ruling and opposition parties agreed to introduce a special prosecution for real estate speculation in a large framework, there are many mountains to be overcome until the actual launch.

The fierce tug of war between the opposition and opposition parties is expected to continue over the subject of the special prosecutor’s investigation, the duration, and the method of recommendation.
