In particular, six locations, including the head office of North Siheung Nonghyup, where LH employees received intensive loans, were also included in the search for seizure, and development information and fund flows are grasped among former and current employees.

The number of targets for which the government’s special investigative headquarters is looking into allegations of speculation continues to increase, and it has reached 200 people.

The Special Investigation Unit for real estate speculation at the Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency conducted a seizure and search of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of Sejong City from 10 am on the 17th.

The police seizure search was completed in about 6 hours, about 4:20 pm, a little before.

They also tried to seize and search the LH headquarters in Jinju-si, Gyeongnam.

This is the second time a forced investigation into the LH headquarters has been carried out on the 9th.

The seizure and search of the head office and two branches of the Buksiheung Nonghyup in Siheung-si, Gyeonggi-do were also conducted.

Here, 33 investigators were dispatched to six locations, including one of the target’s residences.

What was the background for this seizure search?

First of all, it is reported that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport is securing data containing information on former and current LH employees.

It seems to be to confirm the flow of information such as the new city development plan, which was transferred between the former and current employees.

As it was difficult to check the information of former employees at the LH headquarters, it can be interpreted that it was undertaken a forced investigation into the top organization, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

In particular, it is known that the residence of one out of two former employees who were additionally registered in this seizure search was also included.

It is also noteworthy that the police seized and searched the headquarters of the North Siheung Nonghyup.

Previously, nine of the 13 LH employees who were suspicious of land speculation for the first time purchased 10 billion won worth of land in Gwangmyeong and Siheung and received a loan of 5.8 billion won.

But, of this, 4.3 billion won was intensively loaned from North Siheung Nonghyup.

It is said that the police are looking into whether the local Agricultural Cooperatives played a role in financing speculation in the process of receiving a mortgage loan.

‘Real estate speculation suspicions’ The number of cases that the joint government special investigative headquarters investigates or investigates has increased.

Currently, there are 37 cases and 198 subjects.

Not only LH employees, but also mayor/provincial councilors, public officials, and employees of public companies, etc.

The special edition is also concentrating on the analysis of data obtained by seizure and search by LH headquarters and Siheung City Council on the 9th and 15th.

In particular, we are analyzing mobile phones and tablet PCs to confirm the suspicion that LH employees and others used internal development information to speculate.

As soon as the analysis of the confiscated material is finished, the special edition is scheduled to conduct a full summons investigation starting next week.

In the meantime, nearly 200 reports were received over two days at the Police Report Center, which began operation on the 15th.

It is said that some of these reports contain specific details and are highly likely to be converted into investigations.
