[사회]Police dispatched to report “Drugs as a group”…

[앵커]

The police were dispatched to reports that foreigners were collectively smoking cannabis, which turned out to be a false report of mistaking tobacco smoke.

But as I caught it, one of the foreigners on the scene was actually wanted as a drug dealer.

Reporter Park Hee-jae reports.

Foreigners leave the building with their arms held by the police and head for a convoy vehicle.

This is the appearance of Thai men gathered in a group at a restaurant in Siheung City, Gyeonggi-do at around 9:30 pm on the 21st.

[인근 가게 직원 : 손님들이 마약사범이겠거니 마약을 하겠거니 그런 생각 안 하지요. 오늘 오는 손님도 그런 사람 있을까 봐 겁나네요.]

At that time, the police filed 112 reports stating that “foreigners seem to be using drugs in groups,” and attacked the scene with 6 vehicles and 20 experienced people.

There were 14 Thais caught smoking something, all of them were illegally staying.

Investigation revealed that they smoked cigarettes, not drugs.

It was a false report.

However, a drug test showed that one male arrested was actually positive.

When I checked the background, it was A, 27, a Thai, who was wanted last month.

He was a suspect not only for possessing and taking drugs, but also for sale.

[경찰 관계자 : (마약) 양성 반응이 나왔고, 수배자였던 거죠. 마약은 안 했지만, 불법체류자하고 마약 수배자가 있었습니다.]

The Siheung Police Department handed over the recruits to the Incheon Police Agency, who was chasing Mr. A, and handed 13 other Thais who were identified as illegal immigrants to the immigration office.

Siheung City Hall has a policy of disposing of a penalty of 1.5 million won to the owner as the restaurant where Thais were gathered violated the guidelines for banning ‘5 or more people’.
