On the 8th, the Korean Women’s Telephone Corporation analyzed the incidents reported in the media from January 1 to December 31 of last year. As a result, at least 97 women were murdered by intimate men, and 131 women survived attempted murder. It was revealed that it appeared in people.

It was found that at least 57 of the victims’ children, parents, and friends were seriously injured or lost their lives.

Accordingly, it was reported that one case was reported every 1.6 days in which a woman was murdered or in danger of being killed by a man in close relationship. Including the damage to the surrounding people, it is one case every 1.3 days.

However, these statistics are the smallest figures reported in the media. Including unreported incidents, there will be far more actual victims of women murdered by men in close relationships, according to the Korean Women’s Telephone.

By age, women in their twenties accounted for the highest number of murder victims at 15.4%. This was followed by 14.9% in their 50s, 14.5% in their 40s, 13.2% in their 30s, 5.6% in their 60s, 3.1% in their 70s and older, and 2.2% in their teens. It means that the victims of the murder of women occurred at any age.

In addition, violence that occurred in intimate relationships affected not only female victims, but also those close to the victims.

Of the 285 victims, 57, or 20%, were the victims’ parents, children and friends. In particular, among the neighbors, the damage to the children of the victims accounted for a much higher proportion.

As for the motives of the crimes revealed by the perpetrators, 53 people (23.3%) were the highest because the victims asked for divorce or separation or refused to reunite or meet with the perpetrators.
