From the first day of the new year, the number of corona19 confirmed in Korea again recorded a thousand people.

This is because group infections are spreading in correctional facilities and nursing hospitals.

The government is expected to announce a distancing adjustment tomorrow.

On the first day of the new year, the number of confirmed cases in Korea increased slightly from the previous day and exceeded 1,000 again in two days.

The trend of 1,000 people a day, which started in the middle of last month, does not break.

There were nearly 700 confirmed cases in the metropolitan area, and more than 300 people came out in non-metropolitan areas.

In the last week, there have been a thousand new cases a day.

The average number of confirmed cases per day in Korea, which is a key indicator of the distancing stage, is 976, which is also close to 1,000.

Group infection continued in nursing hospitals, facilities, and factories, and the number of confirmed cases in correctional facilities nationwide increased sharply.

The quarantine authorities see the situation as a’stall’ in which the number of confirmed cases does not increase or decrease.

For this reason, some predict that it may take two to three months to reduce the size of confirmed cases by more than half.

There is a high possibility that it will not be raised to the third stage again, considering the social and economic burden.

However, there is a possibility of extending the ban on groups of 5 or more, including the 2.5th phase of the metropolitan area, to curb the continued spreading trend.
