Minbyun and the Participatory Solidarity, who first raised allegations of speculation by LH employees, further exposed allegations of farmland speculation.
It is said that about 30 cases were found only in Gwarim-dong, Siheung, which are difficult to see as actual farming.

It is a farmland in Gwarim-dong, Siheung-si, Gyeonggi-do.
It was last traded in November of last year, and as you can see, it is being used as a waste treatment plant.
The same is true of other nearby farmland traded at the same time.
Only vehicles carrying waste paper are busy, but Nong Love is farther away.
The co-owners of the farmland include foreigners of Chinese and Canadian nationalities.

When Minbyun and the Participatory Solidarity looked at the farmland traded in Guarim-dong over the past three years, there were 37 cases in which speculation was suspected or was used inappropriately.
Of these, nearly half of the cases where the loan size was excessive to say that they bought farmland for farming.
An owner born in the ’90s bought farmland with a loan of 1.8 billion won.

There were 9 cases where the landlord’s address was too far for direct farming, such as Gimhae, Gyeongsangnam-do or Seosan, Chungcheongnam-do.
Minbyun and the Participatory Solidarity argued that as only a part of the farmland where suspicion was raised, not only the third new town, but also the farmland within the public development project site in the last 10 years should be investigated.

In addition, we decided to request an audit of local governments and related ministries that have neglected management and supervision so that farmland becomes an object of speculation.
